Wish I had checked reviews and followed my gut instinct. Dr. Danton dropped the ball and failed miserably, in my experience, helping my 20 yr old fur baby transition. Communication & follow through were the biggest failures. One month later I have my cats ashes. Turns out her body was in freezer for 23 days until cremation, seems wrong - sure felt wrong!
Dr Danton put our 12 yo German Shepherd girl to sleep peacefully. It was the best outcome of a happy life well lived. Our old girl was still mobile and eating but was frail and had deteriorated into incontinence. We didn't want her to suffer and she wasn't in obvious pain yet. Dr Danton was calm, gentle and effective as she deftly inserted the IV while we pet our sweet relaxed dog who remained relaxed and never knew a moment of panic. It was so dignified and gave us total peace of mind that our baby never suffered.
Kokopelli Vet Care hired my company to replace their roof after a hail storm in 2025. From the start, we went above and beyond to ensure that Ms. Danton and her home were fully taken care of, handling the project with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail. Despite completing all agreed-upon work in our contract, it has now been a full year since the project was finished, and we have yet to receive any payment for our services. We have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter, but it remains outstanding. We take pride in the quality of our work and our commitment to our clients, which makes this situation especially disappointing.
We had a horrible experience. I have had several dogs euthanized and this was by far the worst, I cannot get the whole experience out of my mind and every time I think of it I cry. First Laurelle Danton was 25 minutes late which already made me more upset. She then sat there making excuses about the rain and telling us all about her problems which I didn’t want to hear. She filled out a lot of paperwork which could have been done over the phone. She had a potty pad to put her on my lap, it was half the size it needed to be. My dogs pee got on my so I had my husband go get a bigger pad. She blew out her vein on the first leg and we had to turn her over to shave a second leg. Oh and she had me hold her when she gave her the first shot, she said turn her face towards you so she won’t bite me-well my little dog had never bit anyone. After she tried the second leg she still had her heart beating really fast. I was crying uncontrollably. Then she said she was going to give her the stuff that Michael Jackson took. She gave her 2 shots of that. Still heart pumping like crazy. Then she did the shot near her heart. She didn’t have a blanket to wrap her in or anything to carry her out. We provided a blanket. It was a horrible experience. I wish I would have waited for someone else. We still haven’t received a notice from the place that was supposed to cremate her and that was over a month ago. I hope people will read this and find someone else. I am going to post elsewhere also.
If I could have done it with a different vet - I would have. My dog shook and didn’t look comfortable at all Now I live with deep remorse that I wish my dogs death was more peaceful. My second dog passed not too long after and his in home Euthanasia was way more professional and peaceful.
